Cancor Trading 7cc was a shelf company purchased in absolute haste and started by Tony Mitchell and Yvonne Wessels in January 2003.
From very humble beginnings with a very first Invoice value (Cash Sale) of R 167.32, Cancor commenced trading from a home office at Tony’s Home at 53 Andries Pretorius Street Bloemfontein.
There were 2 secondhand desks, One Telkom landline, 2 cell phones and a 2nd hand fax machine bought at a pawn shop for R 700. There were no delivery vehicles, and 3 cars and 2 small trailers had to do the necessary.
During the first six months of its existence, Cancor was proudly doing excellent trade and then a phenomenal R1m turnover was reached in June 2003 and the very first Capex was an Air conditioner.
